Spray peaches against peach leaf curl
Plant bare root fruit trees and bushes
Prune back hard rose bushes
Cut back perennial grasses, such as Hakonechloa, Miscanthus and Pennisetum
Dig over heavy soil, incorporating compost or manure to improve soil texture
To improve drainage, spike the lawn
Order your summer bedding seeds and plug plants
Start forcing your rhubarb

Stake new trees and check the supports of older ones
Give the compost heap a turn over
Take root cuttings from dormant perennials
Viburnums are in flower
Plan the vegetable plot
