A small border re-vamp in Bredgar

The couple wanted their small, sunny border re-vamped.

So from bare earth, I planted up Agapanthus praecox ‘Blue storm’ and Agapanthus ‘Snow storm’. Agapanthus are great plants for sunny borders, and are fab in pots too.

I included one of my favourite blue grasses which I like to use in borders, Festuca glauca ‘Elijah blue’. Also alpines, and Heuchera ‘purple petticoats’ which provide a lovely contrast against the Artemisia ‘schmidtiana’.

Below at a glance, are some examples of plants I used in this border;

  • Eryngium
  • Geranium
  • Paeonia
