- Spring; Is the best time to clear out ponds
- Trim and re shape box balls in late Spring and summer. After trimming, feed with a fertiliser until mid summer.
- Give peonies a layer of farmyard manure

- Start to plant up borders
- Feed and mulch roses
- Lift off the tops of rhubarb forcing jars now
- Feed outdoor plants to stimulate growth
- Support and tie climbers
- Buy summer bedding as plugs to grow on
- Mow once a week in Spring
- Deal with winter damage (Plants that are susceptible, include; hardy Caryopteris, Ceanothus, Phygelius and Cytisus. Cut these to the next set of healthy leaves.
- Spring; feed roses. Remove old flowers off Pampas grass, remove dead foliage and trim back damaged leaf tips.
