A garden to encourage birds and insects

My client was passionate about having a garden to encourage the birds and insects. She wanted to enjoy seeing the birds from her back garden window. She also loved a country cottage style garden, packed with summer loving perennials.

The small back garden was originally overgrown with neglected perennials. I tidied up and retained the existing plants, which included Hellebores, ivy (birds LOVE this), anemones, roses, rhododendron, geraniums, lavender and sedums (seen in my ‘before’ pictures).
