FRUIT & VEG
- If necessary, spray raspberries with fungicide
- Plant maincrop potatoes (planted without being chitted)
PLANTS
- Take conifer cuttings; put pots in a shaded coldframe
- Cut Salvia (sage) stems by half (6 inches at ground level) to bare wood
- Trim Salvia each Spring for a neat crown.
- Cut back last years Verbena bonariensis stems to a low framework. Any new shoots, cut near the base.
- Trim lavender mid Spring, rather than Autumn (to prevent winter cold damage). Don’t cut lavender down to bare wood.
- Cut back Prune all last years stems back to just above new growth at the base.
- If not required, dig out bluebells by hand
- Plant evergreen hedging and shrubs
- Prune back the oldest shoots of Lavender and Santolina
